But now you can make a fantastic looking mobile friendly website using something like WIX websites, without even having to ask the teenager at home for assistance.
But before you do get too excited, there's a couple of little mistakes that can be easily avoided.
- Webpages can have lots of movement now, which is cool when you're making them. But too many flashing images can drive your customer away from the message.
- If you tell your clients everything on the website, then they have no reason to contact you.
- Just like with a newspaper advert, make sure you have a "call to action" on each page. Tell your client what they need to do next.
- Keep the website focused on one specific goal. Bring the client in, and direct them towards that goal at every opportunity. eg: buy here, call us, email us, etc...
- You know your business and product too well, so ask a friend who doesn't to give you an honest review before you start promoting.
